Blossoms for Dinner by Holly Gage. These are blossoms to my husband Chris’s squash plants. He heard they could be batter dipped and fried, yum. However, you must pick them early in the day while still open. Chris picked some and put them in the frigerator for later. Meanwhile they closed. The next morning after he took them out, the flowers reopened and a cute little visitor (the little guy on the leaf) flew out. Ha, he was in the frigerator the whole night long..... I guess we both had plans to eat the blossoms.
